History Of Glen Echo
Glen Echo, named by Edward and Edwin Baltzley, is a small town in Montgomery County that is know as The Washington Rhine. The town is famous for Glen Echo park, which is a U.S. National Park. Clara Barton, the founder of the Red Cross lived in Glen Echo during her twilight years and the city renamed the stretch of the parkway between Cabin John Parkway and Canal Road the Clara Barton Parkway.
